Extra Digits in Bluetooth Phone

I am asking this question again with a different Title, hoping someone would see it.

I need to enter my voicemail phone number xxx-xxx-xxxx followed by a short pause, then send my password, 4 digits zzzz.

How do I do this with the 4Runner Bluetooth phone. Car is a 2008 4R Limited with factory Nav.

The PAUSE and WAIT "digits" show on the screen dont seem to do what I expect. On my Treo, xxx-xxx-xxxx,,,zzzz works fine.
