Extra wiring behind 04 headunit (non-JBL)

well, i happened to get an aftermarket headunit for my 04 SR5. Upon taking out the stock headunit, i noticed that there are two antenna plugs, and three wiring inputs, when the aftermarket stereo (like all other aftermarket stereos) only has one antenna input, and two wiring inputs.
I hooked up the two wiring inputs in the rear of the aftermarket unit, and the one main antenna, and everything wprked fine. i just lest the extra antenna and wires hanging. Is that OK to do? I cannot figure out what the extra "stuff" is for.
If anyone has any info on this, please let me know. THANKS!:bash:

I take it that since you're in So. Cal and have an SR5, you don't have the steering wheel controls (useless if you don't have the controls). The extra plug with 3 wires is for the steering wheel audio controls. Extra antenna wire is okay to leave out, I left it out when I put in the Scion unit. The reception isn't as good, but still good enough for me.

Hope that helps.
