Extremely worn out leather on Limited 3rd Gen

... My concern is that the two front leather seats are totally worn out. What route would you guys suggest?.... replacing the leather? I have a guy who can replace the leather if I can get it for him and in the process will put in heated seats in there for me as well!

I replaced the leather in my front seats and the upholstery guy strongly suggested new 'stepped firmness' foam. He was correct, very much so.

For all those who want a better ride, try improving your seat feel first with new foam, stepped in firmness so you have soft supple outer layers about 1/2" then progress into firmer foam that fully supports.

Mine were about $750 for both, I kept the original headrest leather and it all matched nicely. So if you can/want to afford it while improving the ride, go with new skin/foam. Oh yeah the seat heaters are awesome, not used much in texas except to get take out food home really hot! Luck and enjoy. :cowboy:

I bought a set of seats out of a Matrix but had a hard time making the brackets work. So I bought a set of corbeau seat brackets and a cheap set of buckets off of eBay as I was good my on vacation. One of the side bolsters broke after two weeks.

So then I bought a set of Corbeau Baja XRS buckets, which I should have done in the first place and been done with it.

I searched the internet for the best deals and found a set on a jeep site.

Good question, I didn't think to ask. I'm sure it's not the premium stuff for what I paid but I'll tell ya' everyone who sits on them asks what newer vehicle I got the seats off of.

I was not in any way expecting anything other than a new leather skin but instead got so much comfort and support.

In your area I'm sure there are several selections of upholstery guys that can help you out. It's worth it. Do go with the seat heaters, they're worth it even here in texas. I'm thinking of adding them to the rear two outboard seats. :cowboy:
