The run down of its use. This is an alternative to the emanage and unichip. I had this unit on my 4Runner and intended on keeping it for a future blower on the 4Runner or another future vehicle. It will work with most vehicles that were NA and now are FI'ed. I had it set up to control timing and was running dual fuel injectors. For the SC'ed corolla it can be used to control the timing, the 5th injector, and the Water Injection all at once. It is basically a AIC1 + TMC in one. This unit is originally manufactured by Split Second, a very reputable company of tuning products. For more info you can visit www.splitsec.com. Just the AIC1 unit built into it is effective enough to get the same or better power numbers then I've seen in other Unichip or Emanage users.
This is a piggyback and does not replace your stock ECM, however if you are running the TRD piggyback you can completely eliminate it with this unit.
Programming software will come with the unit, the wiring diagram I have is for the 4Runner but I have access to the wiring diagram for the Corolla or can contact Split Second for the wiring diagram for most any vehicle. Programming follows the same / similar to the E-manage, giving you the ability to program a 3-Dimensional map. There is also a extensive tuning guide that can be downloaded here.

Underdog Racing Development has finally released an additional injector controller with end user timing retard control. This unit is capable of driving two additional low or high impedance injectors using two separate three-dimensional maps that are programmable using a Windows PC. Tuning software is included.
The timing control board interfaces with both the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors and modifies these signals to be able to control the ignition curve. This is the way the ping is eliminated.
This unit is intended for normally aspirated engines that have been converted to forced induction. They are equipped with a high precision MAP sensor to sense manifold pressures up to 16 PSI.
This unit comes with two fuel injector plugs that are compatible with Bosch style fuel injectors. Either plug can be easily converted to directly plug in to any Aquamist Water Injection High Speed valve, thus giving you precise control over your water injection system. This Aquamist/URD combo is like a guided missile compared to a slingshot.
The internal maps are fully independent so you can control one fuel injector, two fuel injectors or a fuel injector plus water injection.
Installation is a simple three-wire hookup of power, ground and RPM signal. Then you simply plug the connector into the injector you wish to control with precision.
Precision tuning requires a wideband O2 kit. Please see our Wideband section of the website.
