for trade...17" sequia rims and tires. Graphite gray in very good condition. Couple of small scratches( hardly notice) on 2 of the rims. The tires are about 85-90% tread left. Will trade for 16" rims and tires +$350+ cost of switching them. The tires must have at least 75%+ tread life left. Local to Socal only. NO SHIPPING.

Wow..those look really good on that truck. I haven't seen a truck with Sequia rims before. Enjoy them, the tires will last you for years and post some pics after you get the truck painted. Thank you for your bussiness!

Truck looks great with those wheels. I'm thinking of putting those on my 1994 4runner, but in chrome. I'm assuming that we have relatively the same axle and other related pieces.

Questions:
Did you use a set of wheel spacers to get the right offset?

What have you done on the front wheel center cap? Did you have to do some custom thing to make them fit?

Do they ever rub?

No I didn't need any spacers. The standard offset seems perfect for my rig. My truck is stock lift with no rubbing issues at all. Center cap are another story. Stock Sequoia caps don't even come close to working on the front. So I modified the stock caps from these wheels:

I went through a few caps practicing on just how much had to be cut off of the ears. I found that if I shortened the ears to the amount pictured below, and spread the holding clips way out, that they work perfectly.

I decided that I wanted matching caps on the back as well. So it became easy after the fisrt couple of caps were done. Hell, they even look like they belong on the wheel. I was going to paint them to match the wheel color, but later decided that I like the black just fine. If you don't have the tools and need some help with them, you can just send them to me to be modded ... no charge other than shipping back. I should also mention that I've put 3400 miles on them so far ... they're not going to fall off!

I really like the stock center caps and if I get chrome wheels I couldn't paint them and they might look kind of cheap next to the "fancy" chrome.

More questions:
Do you think a set of wheel spacers would push the wheel out far enough to use the stock center cap? If so, how big do you think they'd need to be? Do you think the wheels would stick out too far and look bad if one was to add a spacer of the necessary size?

Center Caps

I have the 4Runner 5 stars with the same problem on a 94 SR5 4x4. A few beers in me and I got brave. Out came the hole saw. I drilled out the center on the center cap with a hole saw just big enough for the cap of the ADD hub to fit through and it worked perfect. A few beers less and the hole would have been more on center, but it worked like a charm! Problem solved. This should work the same for your rims if you have ADD hubs. You'll be able to use the stock center caps and it'll look real clean. If not drop me a PM and I'll buy your center caps for the front and will drill them less the beers, lol! :bigok:

I just measured and it looks like if you spaced the wheels out by 3/4", that you could use the original Sequoia Center Caps. The Sequoia Caps simply won't fit around the hubs 6 acorn nuts. I personally don't think it would look bad at all if they were spaced by 3/4" on each side. But that's all a matter of opinion. On my truck however, doing so would bring the stock tire out of my wheel well by 3/4", so I would need to go with Fender Flares. Please also understand that I'm no authority on this subject. So I would highly advise checking this out first hand prior your purchase. Unfortunately this is the best information that I can provide.
