Fabrication

Anyone who knows anything about fabrication such as creating your own armor by designing it yourself not by buying/using a diy kit. Does anyone have a suggestions I have a few buddies that know about welding and what not. Just trying to figure out how much material I’d end up needing. From the math I’ve done id need around 30 feet of steel tubing to get the front bumper frame complete and the plates would be the second issue. I’m just trying to replace my front bumper because I hit a deer and I figure well I’m gonna have to replace it anyway so might as well add some armor to help take out more deer… this is what the damage looks like nothing other than the bumper

I’ve been using a design app on my computer and so far I’ve come up with this

I’m not sure on exact measurements just used a tape measure to get as close as possible but this is what I’ve designed so far and this would only be steel tubes for now

Dirt Every Day has a good episode plating the bottom of a 4th gen.

As for the bumper, it’s a lot of time in the shop, mocking, measuring, etc. Not much anyone can say or do to make it easy.
