Factory alarm issue

'95 3.0 auto 4x4 limited - 187000 miles. truck worked fine this am for the drive to work. took it to lunch worked fine. go to lunch place - could hear a weak buzzing when getting out of the truck. then all hell breaks loose with the horn.

flip the switch, put the key in - nothing. flip it back, start the truck - horn still blaring. this went on for 5 minutes then it stopped.

wtf ? anyone think the cold has something to do with it ? could it have gotten confused with battery voltages or connections ? i would have thought that when it cranked the alrm would stop.

i had some issues several months ago that i solved by replacing battery connections.

Look under the dash close to where the clutch pedal/ brake pedal is and disconnect it. Had an issue w/ mine and did that and it fired up afterwards. Not sure if mine came w/ it or not but there is a switch on the lower knee pad of the dash that ties in w/ the alarm box under the dash. Could be aftermarket or factory I am not sure.
