Factory alarm?

I was wondering if the 2nd gen came with a factory alarm, i ask because theres a red diode in the dash and under the hood there is an alarm horn, if they did what should i do to make it work, do i need a key ring thing with the buttons to activate it or something?,if so where can i get one? I have power locks FYI.

Any help or considerations would be appreciated!:thanks:

Yes it comes with a factory alarm. Mine was not working because of bad wiring from the battery to the fuse box under the hood. If you get the alarm working you have to get the key chain or every time you get in the car you will have to unlock the door and turn the ignition or the alarm will go off. So you would have to go to a dealer or an alarm specialist if there is such a thing. Goodluck
