Factory Off Road Traction Options - Please Read

Hey Folks,

I am trying to create a bit of a cheat sheet for myself to help me get a good handle on what buttons to push, what traction control options are available off road. Could some of you please take a look at the below and let me know if I have it correct or if I am missing something?

For instance, I believe Muti-Terrain is avail in 4H but only the Mud and Sand Options. I also know that in Crawl Control Multi-Terrain is not available. I have played with this stuff off-road (prior to studying the manual) and sort of kind of maybe figured it out. Then I came home and read through the manual and watched a couple of videos.

But I may have missed something.

I'd also like some input on what the community goes to first. For example, when you are in 4LO and loose traction do you push the A-Trac, Rear Locker, or Crawl Control First. If that doesn't work, what is your next go to/

Looks good to me other than your CRAWL Control speeds are in kilometers per hour, not mph. So highest setting (5) would equate to about 3 mph. And you can use A-trac with the rear locked. It simply works the front brakes in that case since the rears won't spin away from each other.

My order of progression is multi-terrain mud/sand, A-trac, rear locked, and then CRAWL if all else fails.

Question: You listed MT Mud/Sand first - Is that in 4HI?

I am one of those guys who puts it in 4Hi as soon as I get on dirt and leaves it there until I am done for the weekend trip/event (I have no manly need to prove what I can do in 2Hi). So while it is possible I don't typically use multi-terrain in 4Hi.

I am also one of those guys who usually puts it in 4Lo once I start on one of the tight twisty trails we typically get here in the piney woods. I consider it easier on the drivetrain and I can use the engine and shifter as a brake instead of dragging my brakes with the pedal. Then depending on the trail and what I know about it I might start with mud/sand and go from there.

M+S works well in slick stuff in 4hi, not aggressive like atrac when some slip is okay
