Factory oil filters?

This topic may have bin covered but can someone tell me are the Toyota oil filters made by Denso?? They look the same?

The OEM filters made in Japan and Thailand are made by Denso. Rumor has it that the OEM filters made in the U.S. are made by Purolator.

They almost look the same--the canister is the same, the gasket and the mounting area is a bit different.

There are two Denso part numbers, 90915-20004 and 90915-YZZD3. Both are the "V8" filters, with 20004 made in Japan and the YZZD3 made in Thailand. IIRC, the 20004 is also similar or the same as the Japan TRD filter.

You cant go wrong with the these OEM oil filters, tried Purolator Pure One, yes is filters better (so they say) but i find it too restrictive, especially on very cold starts, went back to OEM and i dont have that slightly-hard cold starts anymore.
