Factory order turn around time in Canada

which dealer did you use?
Mine was Erin Park in Mississauga.

I actually signed a purchase order in early October. They tried to find/do a dealer trade for my car. Apparently no one wanted to trade with them. So, they put in an order in November.

I was told they had three orders for the 4R in Nov. Their original allotment from Toyota Canada was none, but they were able to negotiate two. The third guy was SOL.

Looks like we'll have a similar wait then. I didn't think the wait would bother me, but I'm getting pretty anxious about it now!

We already sold our LR3 in anticipation of getting the 4R. The wait didn't bother me when the roads were dry and the weather was warm. Now that we're staring at old man winter in the face....

Let me know if you hear anything about build status/delivery and I'll do the same.

Put deposit on 2015 SR5 base model on Nov 7/14. Still no ETA/production date from dealer. Should I be worried or is this wait time normal? I expected a 12-16 week wait for delivery, but thought I would have some kind of ETA by now. I'm in the GTA.

Last month, I've talk to a salesman at my local dealership, they had 2 Limited on the lot (which one was unsold, which seem to be rare) and told me they only order Limited because this is what they can sold/transfer easily. He also told me that it would take 3 months to get a TE as they are rare (virtually unavailable for transfer from another dealership).

I feel ur pain. I don't live in canada but am waiting on my trail edition premium. It arrived in port on December 31st.its still sitting there, and according to the dealer they just got a VIN today and it now shows as sold..... oh the waiting game

I ordered my tep dec 2. Got a vin like a week later. Emailed dealer no updates. Still waiting for shipment from Japan according to them. What you guys think I'll get it they said Monday d to late January originally.

Ordered my new Limited in Calgary on December 31st, dealer couldn't get a trade from another lot so Ive been told to expect February 28th, I sure hope its not longer than that.

emailed my sales rep - VIN is assigned, vehicle is at "port of entry" (wherever that is?) and current ETA is Jan 30.

Hopefully yours came over on the same boat.

Dropped by dealer today. She's on a boat sailing over. Eta at dealer is 2/12/15. Fingers crossed.

I'm in Calgary, I figure with oil prices the way they are they better be trying to fill these open orders before they vaporize. This place is going into hibernation pretty quick. How long are you waiting?

ask them for the VIN. My dealer sent me a copy of the "Toyota Order and Vehicle Summary". It included the order#, VIN# and ETA.

Unless they are photoshopping something, it seems legit.

Just got word my new LE is in Vancouver and should be here in another 2 weeks, also got the VIN as recommended and a copy of the summary order sheet.

Done. Truck is in Vancouver Port with ETA of 2/12. hoping to pick it up by 2/15.

Just got the word that my SR5 arrived today at the dealership. Picking it up on Friday!

My 4runner is ready for pick up tomorrow, but I have to do that on Saturday due to busy at work.

Nice! Mine is now on rail to Calgary but the ETA is still 2/9 - seems like a long rail trip from Vancouver, fingers crossed it might be earlier.

Does anyone know what options are port installed vs. dealer? I opted in for 3m and rust proofing so I'm wondering how long that will delay me.

Once mine was loaded up on the train in Vancouver, it took five days or so get to the dealer in Calgary, and another day or two for the dealer to do their thing with it before you can pick it up, so all in all about a one week turn around?

I did get the 3M (which was installed at the dealer) but not rust protection.
