My 3rd gen has a tow hitch on it. It was part of the "convenience package", code C7 listed under options on the window sticker. It doesn't look like it has ever even had a receiver slid into it.
When you get a factory tow hitch, what's included? Is it just a hitch and a trailer lighting plug? Or is there anything else added to the vehicle, such as a special tranny cooler, tow gear, upgraded shocks or springs?
I'm just curious. I don't plan on towing anything with it. My T4R already has heavy duty shocks on it. But, my Dodge truck came with a factory tow package and there was more to it than just a hitch and electric plug. I have a button I push for "tow" that is different than just disabling overdrive. It also included a tranny cooler.
Also, out of curiousity, what's the tow rating for a 4x4 limited with factory tow hitch?
