Factory XM Satellite is dead...help!

My XM Satellite radio has gone dead. It just quit working. I have factory navigation. When I hit the AM/Sat button it won't go to Satellite mode anymore. Everything else seems to be working fine on the nav unit, so I suspect either a plug has come loose or the satellite receiver has crapped out.

I have looked in the obvious places for the satellite receiver (under seats, and storage compartments) and I can't find it. I believe this was a factory system, but I can't be sure. I hate to just start tearing into the dash or rear panel blindly. Has anyone located their XM Satellite Receiver?

Once I do locate it, does anyone know if I can just replace the receiver without buying the whole kit?

Thanks!

I just stopped in at the dealer. Service Rep, said it was in one of the rear side panels, not the dash. Then, I talked to the parts guys and they said it was in the dash, not the rear. He said the cables in the kit aren't long enough to run it all the way from the rear side panels.

Anyone else have ideas?

Try this before spending $$$$

My XM radio suddenly stopped working one day. I drove back to the shop that had installed the XM hardware thinking my investment had gone bad.

The Tech simply disconnected the battery, let it "rest" for about 10 minutes and reconnected it.......whalla......XM working fine again!!!

I was nervous about disconnecting the battery and losing some functions like the door-lock, but all was well. The only thing I had to do over was the "Pre-set" XM channels.

Note: Rig is an 08 Urban Runner with a factory TOM-TOM GPS-CD-Radio unit.
