I noticed a bunch of scratches and a nasty gouge next to my driver's door key hole the other day, and didn't think much about it. But this morning my remote entry transponder was being fritzy so I tried using the physical key for the first time in awhile, and it won't work! I believe they tried to ram it open or something, the key goes in loosely but won't turn.
Since the key still works in the ignition and rear gate, is it possible for a locksmith to just key a new cylinder into the door to match my existing key? Or am I going to have to pay to get all 3 re-done if I want them to match? I guess the smart answer would be to just call the locksmith, but if anyone knows, and it's the bad news answer, I'll just live with it as-is.
