fan whistle

simple

Ugh! I hate it! Its like a a rapid whistle/tweet noise coming from one of my fans. I'm guessing the passenger side. Anybody else get this, or ideas on what the problem is, or how to attack it?

thanks all

my fan sometimes makes a faint, high-pitched whistling or squeaking noise when on the lowest setting. Comes and goes and is not there when I turn fan speed to 2 or higher.

No idea if it's the blower bearings but good luck trying to get the dealer to hear it. Mine is faint enough that no-one at the dealer could hear it even afetr two attempts. The good news is that there has been no change in the last two years -- noise is the same, no louder, and intermittency is the same.

It could just need cleaning then again it could be the start of a bearing failure.
:iagree: Check out the condition of the cabin air filter or if there is even one in there. There is only one fan, just remove the glove box and you will see it. Just above it is the cabin filter.
