Fast Blinking Turn Signal??

So now that it is getting hot my right rear turn signal has started acting up?? It is fine in the morning and late evening when it is cool outside and sometimes even quits acting up after i have had the AC on and the cab is cool?? The dash indicator blinks real fast and so does the tail light.

If i throw the turn signal somewhat gentle the turn signal acts normal, but if i just flip it normally, it goes haywire......

My gut is telling me it is a relay or some sort of activation switch it the steering wheel column, not wanting to do exploratory surgery on the column I thought I would see if anyone has had any similar issues.

Also all of the other turn signals are working just fine......

Haha, your bulb is about to die, just get it replaced.

I notice that fast blinking this week as well when i disconnected my front bumber and the lights were not hooked up, but the speed of blinking went back to normal when i hooked it up.

Well I replaced the bulbs this weekend still having the hyper blinking on the dash & correction to my last post the tail light is no longer blinking.

Anybody had to deal with this? Again I think it is the relay, but that is just a guess at this point........

Your Blinker stick module is going bad

The actual piece behind your steering wheel that the blinker stick goes into is going bad. They cost about $110 and you have to remove your steering wheel to get to it.

Any chance you have had any experience removing a steering wheel with a AirBag? I have used a steering wheel puller before, but that was a much simpler task that what this appears to be (airbag and all).

Disconnect your battery and pump the brakes a few times to drain any remaining juice. From there you can forget there is even an airbag there.
