I suppose it all depends on how the trails/roads are. I've only driven fast off road a couple times. The first was in a huge bird preserve in SoCal, where we could see for miles and the road was well graded....and I slowly got up to 70 mph. Similar with a buddy in Death Valley, though half that speed on rougher stuff in his Avalanche. And then locally after stoping at the grocery store. I was maybe doing 25-30, and then hit a bump and got airborne. The watermelon in the back didn't do so well.
Those were all stock, but on good graded paths. On trails with bigger rocks, the LT and stiffer suspension would be key. But a breakage with the extra stress of an unexpected hit at speed, and being by yourself out in the middle of nowhere, have a CB radio if you don't have cell coverage, and a filter to be able to get water from the stream.
