What'd You Dads Get?
For Father's Day topdown4runner got a.........4Runner Highlander!!!! For crying out loud, that is awesome. I don't think anyone will be able to top that, but I got some cool stuff.
I have (on the way) a Rola Vortex rack with extension and a Softride four bike hitch carrier. I wanted a gobi or baja rack, but after seeing Pure98's rack up close, I decided the Rola was good enough. I run triathlons and I guess the wife grew tired of me complaining about pulling my bike in and out of the 4Runner, sometimes scratching stuff and every now and then getting grease from the chain on the carpet. Not 4Runner related, but the wife also got me some "european tight" jeans that are going right back to the store. My two little girls got me big hugs and kisses all day long.......not a bad day for me......
Anyone else get some cool stuff?

Has 112,4xx miles. Got it for 4K.
She is not perfect...came from Mas. so has some rust.
Previous accident so front fenders and hood are after market.
Tranny went out and was replaced with a unit from a wrecked truck, about 85K miles on it.
Other odds and ends, but it helps having a parts truck in the back yard
And yes, the Highlander with E-locker is the right one, for a truck.
I was talking about the Woman though :beer:

Well, I think you got everyone beat. Our family went on a cruise from Florida and they picked a cruise going to in the eastern Caribbean. They did that because you can arrange to go sailing on Dennis Conner's Americas Cup 12 meter yacht in St. Maarten. I am a sailor and a fan of Dennis Conner. I have a poster in my office with his signature. Anyway, I got to go on his boat, I was one of the primary grinders and got soaking wet. I had a blast. It was not a 4Runner though.

I got a 200+ piece Craftsman "all 6-point" socket set from my family. I've had MY dad's professional tools at my house for nearly a year, because I've got stuff I've been working on. I think this was a hint that he wants his tools back. I picked up a nice ball-bearing top box today as well. But on my own tab.
I got my dad a 2-ton aluminum low profile racing jack. Since again....I had his 3-ton jack at my place forever...I figured I'd get him a new nice one, and I'll keep the old beater.

I got to enjoy my Father's Day a week earlier.... Canadian Formula 1 :driving: Grand Prix tickets in Montreal, between the slow hair pin and super fast straight-away and a Ferrari mechanic's team shirt. Not quite the 4runner highlander but I enjoyed it.
For my dad I managed to obtain some sheep's milk cheese from the little town in Italy where he was born that he would eat as a kid. That was a real treat and a "memories of the old days" trigger.
