I need someone to help me out.. The goal is to understand more about the Toyota ECU and what some of the parameters that can be scanned mean in terms of tuning on the 5th gen. I'm currently seeing some conflicting results... so I need more samples to better understand what a few of the parameters mean.
Since my motor has a supercharger on it now....without a stock ECU calibration, and I did not get baseline numbers before.. I need some help.
The task is pretty simple. I need a few segments of data from TIS logging (just the parameters shown the last image below).
TIS will record 5min segments manually by pushing the record button. And you can do multiple this times in the same file. I just need a few of these with normal driving and some with spirited pulls to redline plus shifts. The more the better and I may need some other data in the future.... Unfortunately, the frame format used by Toyota on the CAN bus is not sophisticated, so each parameter is individually requested,.. So I have to keep the list as small as possible to simply get 1 frame a second.

Please ask if you need clarification. This is really a good exercise to go through as you will learn something too.
1. Start up TIS and Connect to Vehicle
2. On the System Select screen double click Engine ECT
3. Select The DataList button on the left
4. Select the DataManager Button on the bottom
5. Create a custom list of parameters to match that shown in the last image
6. Save the list and give it name like "myCustom1"
7. Now get out and drive and press the record button to capture 5 min of data
Once the 5min are up it will prompt you to enter a log entry name (just take the default (data1)) and a service event file (.tse) name. You can also take the default for that. After the file name is provided for the first one, additional record sessions will go in that same file.
After you have the file.. you can open it in TIS disconnected from the vehicle and view graphs of the data in playback. It is pretty good at doing this, but the original sample rate is not really fast enough to get a full insight.. but it is enough to see some basics.
I'm really trying to understand the knock learn parameters at the moment. They are pretty confusing... Plus I'm seeing lamdba on the factory WB being capped in my logs.
