Favorite All-Terrain Tires

Im interested in getting some new tires, and i was wandering which tires people like the most... I plan to go muddin and be off road about 30% of the time, and the rest would be on road around town.....I dont want to spend a ton of money, but here are a few I was considering:
32.5 or 33x11.50:
BFG A/T
Nitto Terra Grapplers
Dayton Timberline's
Cooper Discoverer

If you are doing a fair amount of mudding, the BFG A/T's may not be your best choice. The lug pattern may hold more mud than you want. Overall, these are fantastic AT tires, but in mud, might not perform as well.
 
If your muddin do with a mud tire. AT tires are not mud tires .

If you do want an all terrain for heavy off road use, I would go BFG personally.

I have no experience with any of the other AT's you listed.
 
I run the Goodyear ATS's - kind of a tweener tire. Not a mud and bigger gap that an at. I had some bfg's (as well as ATS's on my old rig and like the Goodyears better. But they aren't cheap.

I used to run the Pro-Comp X-Terrains in 33x12.50x15 on a '95 Ford F-150 4x4 on a 15x10" wheel. I really liked those tires. They replaced a worn out set of BFG AT. The Pro-Comps look good and performed well in all weather conditions and some off roading. And they wore pretty decent.

The BFG AT's did great on my ex-wife's Durango and I have heard good things about the Nitto's. I like Nitto's in general so if I was in your position I might go that route. And I think the Nitto is a good looking tire, too.
 
The only 2 AT's I would ever put on my truck are Nitto's, or BFG's. I run Nitto's now, and will probably run them again for my next set.

Just a little random trivia, Camburg is sponsored by Nitto's, so they can take a good beating. They even have a line that most people don't know about, but I don't think you could get your hands on a set without coming down here to Huntington Beach and talking to them in person.
 
X2 on the Nittos.

After reading a ton of posts I decided with Nitto Terra Grapplers on 08/29. Went from stock Bridgestone Duelers P265/70/16 to Nitto LT265/75/16. Stupid Bridgestones wore on the inside, caused my 4runner to pull right, and only lasted 32000. I checked the tire pressure constantly but I guess they were not properly balanced. Rubber bands would have been better than my stocks.

Now, there is no pulling. I even went to the dealer twice before to have them inspect it and they said alignment was in spec. Discount tire also looked and said no alignment issues.

I love the Nittos. More aggressive look, fill out the wheel well better, and most important better performance. Can't wait for snowboard season to test them out in snow. I plan to go off roading in the future and I am very confident with the Nittos based on all the great reviews.

I checked into a Nitto TG , but there is only a few places around here that carry them here , and they are by no means any cheaper ( here at least ). It's like they know there are only a few dealers so they charge as much as any of them.

Kinda ticks me off , I would have tried them.

i live in charleston sc... we dont get much snow

thank yall for your input, im considering the Nitto TG's and some pro comps.... ;):
 
my 05 just got new shoes. wanted pirrellis but could not get them in my area. so i got Cooper Discoverer ATR 265/65/17.
just put them on so i dont know about how they are in the snow.
so far they feel good not alot of road noise. pics coming soon
