Have yet to do any 2nd gen mods, but love the deckplate mod and TB-O ring gaskets.

I cant understand why they would use a D gasket for a round hole....

Me too. The 4.7 case did more for my truck than the 5.29s and rear locker put together. Easily my favorite upgrade.

While it was definitely a pain in the hindquarters many times while installing, I'd have to say the 350 V8 swap in my last rig was my favorite. Loved the bottomless power, sounded awesome, and looked pretty cool under the hood, too. The SAS front with matching rear leaf suspension was a close second.

I'd say my favorite is my SAS. Looks way more aggressive now.

My rear locker probably has been my favorite so far... although once dual cases are installed, this will probably change.

havent done anything to my 89 4runner yet. But when I had my 89 toy 4x4 I hated the auto locking hubs & changed to manual hubs...... increased power & mpg. combined that with a streight pipe in place of the cat + a flow master... sounded nice & gained aprox 5 mpg total..... (every little bit helps with a 3.slow)

Will be doing all the above ASAP....

I haven't many mods to my setup yet, typically i do but this one has stayed tame for the time being.

Next winter when I'm up far north i suspect a lift and accommodating tires will be purchased

Consider your gear ratio while lifting/adding bigger tires. It makes a huge difference on these trucks.
