I wasn't even born yet when most of these albums came out but my favorite is dairy of a madman too! can't beat old school!

How can you possibly pick just one as a favorite? There is no way I could narrow it down to just one unless he had a greatest hits that included pretty much everything! IF, and only if I had to pick a single favorite it would be Diary of a Madman. Glad to see more Ozzy fans around here!

I am going with Blizzard Of Ozz
When this album was released I thought "who the hell is playing the guitar?"
Randy Rhoads had just finished his stint with Quite Riot when Ozzy hired him. He was almost unknown while he played with Quiet Riot. Ozzy was smart enough to gave him his freedom while playing and the result was one of the most influential guitarists.
Check this, playing his Les Paul.

Either "Blizzard Of Oz" or "Diary of A Madman" would rate an A+ with me; although I pretty much enjoy any of his material.
You want old school? Listen to him on 'Paranoid' or 'Iron Man' with Black Sabbath.

RIP Randy... I always wonder what would've been if he never died... Blizzard and Diary are easily the best albums, Tony Iommi must have shit his pants! lol
Jake E Lee was great, can't forget Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin. I'm not huge on Badlands... but yeah.
Zakk was cool, I love a lot of songs with his work.. but in the long run, once he started saving all the good stuff for BLS, I wasn't digging it. I remember when Down to Earth came in 01, I was ecstatic, but it could have been better. Black Rain was very meh... very half assed soloing, and I hate it when bands RIDE the low E.. and Zakk, oh my god dude, LAY OF THE PINCH HARMONICS! The Whole Worlds Falling down is literally all pinch harmonics.. well it's an awesome riff... AH RAMBLING.
I can't wait to see what's with Gus G, I just hope that "Let me hear you scream" wasn't the best song on the album... Gus G is great, he and Alexi Laiho top the list with my favorite Finnish dudes!

Not to say how old I am but, in the early 1970's I was doing "Air Guitar" to Black Sabbath's Paranoid and Masters Of Reality as a 12 year old kid living in Garden Grove California. The guitar playing was and still is so amazing to me.
When I listen to Ozzy I think of Ozzy, not Black Sabbath. And Black Sabbath I think of a band that lead the way to Heavy Metal and a band Ozzy was in.
One thing about Ozzy is he loves great guitar riffs in his music and history has shown it.
