How much can I expect for a replacement on an 08 Shadow Mica? My guess would be $250-350 painted & installed.

Nope, you are very low. The part costs that much, you can expect to pay at least that amount in painting too, that is if you install it yourself. At least $500+.

I'm on my 3rd rear bumper cover, thank you NYC parrell parkers.

Around 700 installed, it be near 550 if you do the install/remove your self

How bad is the damage? LOTS of bumper covers are repairable. Most shops will tell you to replace because they make a quick buck, that's why us insurance adjuster's have jobs. Anyway, find a good shop and ask them to FIX the cover rather than replace. A shop with a good body man will prefer to repair it, they make more money on the labor vs. the 20% mark up on the factory part. Just a thought. If the cover is demolished, the labor needed to fix it may make it cheaper to go ahead and replace. Put a pic up and I'll tell you if it can be fixed. I'll even give you an estimate if you like. Ouch; I'll have to look into repair/repaint. I didn't have quite enough clearance turning into the garage. Scrapped up the front right corner, a good deep gouge too. I might just change my story and call it a 'trail scar' and leave it for now. Thanks guys.

How about Schrockworks, ARB or Perkins Performance Front Bumper instead.

Of course you would need to upgrade your suspension to support the weight.
