Fender paint (opinion needed)

At this point i'm sure that my front left fender has been repainted judging by the sad state of the clear coat, and its driving me nuts. In all honestly I should just leave it alone but I cant, so the question now would be should I repaint, replace or buff, wax and hope for the best?:mad2:

Repaint is the only way to resolve that issue.Looks like the clear coat is cracking....
a shop may be able to sand down the clear only and reclear....If the cracked clear has affected the base coat then a refinish operation would be needed....don't be surprised if the shop writes to blend into the door for a good color match.Depending on your location you could expect anywhere from $ 350-$450 price range. Depends on how far they have to go.

Repaint is your only option. I just had a bumper end painted and it cost me $175. $350-$450 sounds about right. I had a hard time finding anyone that would do it. Body shops only want insurance work now.
