Fiberglass fenders, any pics?

Trying to decide on fenders for my 08.
Stuck between glassworks and perry's fab n fiber.

Only pics I've seen online of the glassworks ones are of a black 2wd LT runner but the side pics where the fenders flow into the door are hard to see.

Perry's Fab n fiber ones look good on their site, of course, but seeing how fiberglass fenders never seem to come out in a consistant shape, I was wondering if anyone has mounted a set.

Fiberwerx ones make me want to take my own life.

There's a few guys over on toyota120 that have fiberglass fenders, I'd ask over there.

Yes, I'm building a long travel 2wd 4thGen, will be running either 295/75/R16 or 315's

Trimming my fenders looks like it just might work, room for 35's at full compression, this was pretty easy. Jig saw, tape, angle grinder with a flap disk, cutting slow...
Hopefully it will all work out and I'll have a sleeper long travel runner thanks to the stock deep backspaced wheels.

Holy cow! We need a couple more pics of the finished product! That actually looks really good, can't believe no other members here or 120 have trimmed that much. I always assumed it would be more difficult and look bad.

The members here (and 120) were trying to get bushwhacker to make some cut out fender flares, and I also figured the reason they hadn't done it was because you wouldn't be able to cut much or do it clean. You've clearly showed that I am wrong.

I'd be interested in some close up shots of the fender post cut with the flare rmoved. I am curious how it looks/strong it is after you cut them.

I'll snap a pic of the cut metal fender when I do the other side.

I cut 3 inches out of the front because i'm running a 3.5 inch over a arm kit, but you don't have to cut that much. I think this mod would be perfect for a 2 inch over kit.

After some initial sniffing around the rear, I don't think the same mod can be performed easily because of the way the flare holds the door seal at the outer edge.

I mean sure, it can be done, but i don't want to start cutting structural body metal away and welding patches over the holes. No fun, not pretty, and sure to crack later. Who's a negative nancy? I am.

I cut these bolted on the truck so they are held stable, the plastic flares I cut off the truck. Jig saw and tape the edge thats not getting cut off so you don't scratch up the paint, gonna finish it with some plastic molding trim. Probably just going to run 8" 4.5 backspace wheels and Perry's Fab n Fiber fenders because of clearance issues and wideness..

Yes custom kit I made, 3.5" over, 13" travel. Should have just done a 2" over kit and bought a 4wd. Next time.

Back on its feet, giant front wheel wells look pretty silly with the stock tires so I ordered wheels and tires and will hopefully get them on friday. We'll see how much 35's fill them out and stick out on the sides, then go from there on the final plan for wheel coverage and rear supension.
