filler cap door

I am having problems with the filler cap door letting go when i pull the release... a lot of times i have to wedge a card in there, and then it barely opens... any ideas guys??

I am having problems with the filler cap door letting go when i pull the release... a lot of times i have to wedge a card in there, and then it barely opens... any ideas guys??

Just bend the spring that pushes the door open out some more or if it's too weak or broken maybe install a new spring.
