Filling holes on the body

I finally got the time to remove the limited flares. The paint was peeling and I didn't think they looked good on the truck since day one. I've got a gallon of Monstaliner on order but before that I need to fill the holes that the clips left behind. I have a welder but am quite inexperienced and if I were to use bondo accessing the holes from the back to put some sort of solid backing on would be very difficult, I don't even think it would be possible on the rockers. How would you guys go about it?

Welding is the only right way to do it. Grind 'em down to bare metal and go a tack at a time. Cant mess anything up unless you get it hot enough to warp it.

I have seen people put tape over the holes and painting over the tape. Doesn't look too good in my opinion.

I literally laughed out loud at this.

Then again, if you're going to bed-liner it, it may be thick enough to hide the tape lines. I guess what mama dont know dont hurt her?

Weld. Grind smooth. Then go over with Bondo.

Since you are ready to paint, get all 4 doors and front fenders from another truck: This should be the easiest route and will have extra parts in hand.
