Final mystery solved..5 years after buying my T4R..

So there was something on my instrument gauges that has driven me nuts off and on for years. I felt too stupid to ask anyone what it was, I'm a smart guy right? I can figure this out..

Its the little white triangle on the fuel gauge next to the words "Fuel Door".

So once upon a time I thought this was an indicator that came on if you accidently left your fuel door open. Since I never did this, I assumed that's why I never saw it lit up. But one day when swapping the lights out, I noticed there was no bulb under it. THE MYSTERY DEEPENS

So my theory was this was pointing to something...but what? The fuel door is down by my left knee next to the hood release so clearly its not pointing at that. What the heck? Makes no sense.

So 5 years later I'm swapping light bulbs again and I'm looking at this cryptic little icon YET AGAIN trying to figure out what its trying to tell me. COME ON LASSIE! WHAT IS IT GIRL? WHAT DO YOU WANT TO TELL ME!?!?!

Finally it hit me like a ton of bricks and feel like a complete moron.

Now that you know, you'll hate getting into a car your not familiar with that doesn't have the arrow. Back to the old "pop the fuel door as you pull in and check your mirrors to see what side the filler is on" trick, lol.

I've had a 2001 and a 2000. Didn't have it on my 2001 but have it on my 2000. I made a bet with a friend who has a 2005 that I didn't have one. He swore up and down that I would. Sure enough... nope.

Don't feel so bad. This is my first vehicle I've owned that has had one. It also took me quite a while to figure out that Flo Rida was actually Florida. (In any case he still sucks).
