Finally bought a 4 Runner

So we bought aThe wife will be driving it though so I will just see it when I leave and get home from work. I have no clue what this thing is capeable of doing off road. We had a nissan Xterra and we were doing overlanding and that's my plan for this one now.

The details don't really matter, when my wife got home and I saw it this morning my 1st question is where is the 4x4 knob, or is it push button? Only to find out she told the guy she was looking at Jeeps and 4wd 4Runners. and came home with a 2wd 4 runner. She is pissed and I told her I am not paying for it and take it back tomorrow.
 
Things were fixed. The guy sold my wife a 2wd Limited Nightshade and we went back and left with a 2019 TRD Off Road Premium in 4WD. and it cost less that the nightshade.
 
I was between finding an Xterra and a 4Runner, however the deal popped up including the 4Runner I picked up. Sometimes, decisions are made for you!
 
I bought a 2018 SR5P last year and really liked it but I am waiting on my 2019 TRD Pro to get delivered to the dealer now. I didn't realize how much I was going to like my 4runner.

I would put pics in my album that I'm trying to upload but it keeps failing to load and it won't let me start my own thread yet
 
Pictures

Your pictures probably keep failing due to their size. Either resize them or use an offsite website and link them. I believe that is what most people here do. Search the forums for picture help as there is a really good one to learn from.

Good for you for not taking any crap from the sleazebag sales guy. And glad you got out for even less $ ! She'll love the TRD ORP!

What he said! I think it's incumbent upon the sales people to discuss all the major functions, features and systems of a vehicle so they (and management/ownership) can be sure the customer is getting what he or she wants.

By the way, I'm not really calling the sales person a sleezebag and neither is UtahRnr, I suspect. We weren't there. Only Tango and his wife were. BUT, the bottom line is that this kind of thing simply shouldn't happen.

I'll say it. LOL. She went in wanting 4WD and he sold her a more expensive 2WD.
 
It was just a dirty feeling that my wife went there and said 4wd and came home with a 2wd, But now we are good to go. What sites are people using to post pictures.

It still boggles my mind that this could even happen in the first place! I mean, isn't 4wd one of the first things that should come up in the conversation?

"Hi, can I help you?"
"I'm looking at Jeeps and 4Runners."
"Do you mind if I ask you what you intend to do with it? Are you looking for 4wd?

Okay, I'm done now. :nerd:
 
Wanting to swap some 4runner parts into my Taco. But may look for a used 00-01 runner as an extra set of wheels. Love the 3rd gens.
