Finally Clean after 10 months

I finally got around to doing the full wash/wax bit this weekend. Perfect weather and frame of mind, plus I haven't done this since I bought it last August. The factory wheels came out real nice, and I used Griot's products all around. Hard to take off, I must say.

Oh yeah: 2003 V6 Limited 4WD Pacific Blue

Side Shot

I like this picture. It's going to the glossy paper and in front of my bench at work.

What a clean wheel looks like

Took an hour to do all 4, and wax, and Griot's rubber dressing. Maybe next year I'll do it again..hmmm....maybe

An amusing fantasy...

Waiting for the V6 supercharger to show up (and for other people to be the guinea pigs ). But someday this sticker will actually mean something. Both side windows. ;):

ToolManJohn ... very clean indeed.

Question about your wheels and Griot's ... do they have anything that will help polish out scratches? My wheels are in a sorry state ever since I got stuck in mud up to the frame. Hoping to find a polish rather than send them out to a shop for a profe$$ional job.

Are the Toyota wheels painted clearcoat? Polished? Anodized? I don't know what might be used for fixing it. Are the scratches to the metal? If they are down to the metal I think you are stuck with them.:(

Sorry I can't help. Post your question in the maintenance area, someone might know.

maybe this was answered at some point, but what are those black rubber things on the hood?

It must be the thing to do this week. I waxed, washed, and did the whole works this past Thursday. It took my brother and I 1.5 hours to do everything. It hurts me to take it out it looks so good. Your 4Runner really shines. It looks really good. Man I love the look of Pacific Blue!!

Wish it would quit raining here in S. Texas so I can give my car a good cleaning that it deserves...

I guess we're lucky up here in British Columbia where it only rains twice a year! Once for 4 months and another for 3 months! :D

no kidding. we're about to float away here in the brazos valley...we're about a foot and a half above our normal rain fall amounts at this point. actually, we're within a couple of inches of the yearly average already...and there's still 6 months to go with this year...

don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining...I'd rather it be like this than really hot and dry, but... it does rather keep our vehicles a bit dirty...ya know...'cause there's mud and water to go splash through! :D

Yeah, the B-CS area can flood in a heartbeat. The campus seemed to dry out pretty quickly, though. Never spent much time away from the campus except on Friday nights. Then again, that was a long time ago.....
