Driver's seat that is. I have never found a comfortable position for the drivers seat, so after almost 3 years of suffering I decided to try anything, I had purchased a 08 Sonata for my daughter to go off to college in last summer and found the seats very comfortable on long runs. I studied the seats in both and 2 differences stood out, bottom cushion in the T4R was longer and the thigh bolsters were higher and stiffer. I didn't see a way to shorten the length but the bolsters were a different story.
After removing the seat, releasing the long fabric clips around the bottom, and pulling them over the top I had room to work. I cut a piece of cardboard and wedged it between the center and sides to prevent any accidental damage to the fabric.
I penciled in a rough outline and used a large finely serrated knife to start cutting away the bolster, cutting a little then trying out the seat, being careful not to cut too much. Once I found the general shape I liked I made alot of thin cuts to smooth it out, looks rough in the pic but ended up pretty smooth. I took off almost an inch of foam. The grooves in the bolsters for the seams have to be recut.
I bent the clips above the seat controls and the right side to take up the slack in the cover, not the best solution, but you can't see it under the plastic cladding

I've taken one 300+ mile trip since the mod and after getting everything set correctly, haven't needed to touch the controls. That's a record for me! :biggrin2:
