Bought it at the end of November, finally got around to waxing it, conditioning the leather, and putting RainX on the windows/mirrors. I hope it looks like this for a long time!

Well, if you were in it you would know the mount on top 'looks' angled but the detector is level, sorry to burst your bubble.

I used this wax:
Meguiar's Direct NXT Generation® Tech Wax® 2.0 Paste
But it did not come off as easy as I would have liked, but I do like the results.
I normally use this:
Meguiar's Direct Gold Class™ Carnuba Premium Paste Wax
which has always come off easy on my other SUV's.

Very nice looking 4Runner. I recently started using the same wax on my Jeep Cherokee and will on my 2010 4Runner when its delivered. I noticed that you bought your T4R in Orleans. My parents live in N. Eastham.

You can blow up as much as you want, but you are wrong. Owned and used them for more than a decade, it is setup perfectly. I have seen many or your posts, your are a PITA. Avoid commenting on my posts in the future. As your parents should have said 'if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all'!

Thanks! Took longer than the old Durango. This one has a lot more little corners, grooves, & angles to get in and out of.

Very nice Westwind. I've been reading up on how to wax a black vehicle and the product you used was one of those mentioned. Not looking forward to seeing all the scratches on mine after winter. It's extremely difficult to get rid of the fine scratches as well as swirls after waxing a black vehicle.

Its pointing up how, is that setup correctly? I will feel free to add my opinion to any thread I please especially when something is clearly installed incorrectly.
Regarding your detail - did you do it indoors, many waxes/polishes dont like the cold.

Yep, truck was put in a bay for a few hours @ 75 to warm up, then detailed.

Here is a suggestion: I assume there is a fuse box under the steering wheel like in the 4th gen.
Hard wire it to 12V accessory plug using a fuse tap and mount the detector next to the mirror like mine:
This is the only pic of my 9500i I have.
When mounted there you cant see it from outside really thus I dont take it down when I stop and such.
I forgot - the mute button is in a blank switch next to the steering wheel.
