Hey everyone I have been a long time lurker and sporadic post-er. First off i wanted to thank everyone for their insight and knowledge about many different aspects of T4R. It sure helped me to read many different write ups about the huge task i was about to undertake. So on to the parts.. I was able to acquire some FJC 4X4 coils, a DS 2.5/1.5 spacer kit, and some OME N141s shocks from various members on this forum as well as the FJ forum. I purchased Bilstein 5100 adjustables locally here in Jacksonville.
The set up i went with was:
Front:
Bilstein 5100's set at 2.5" with the FJC coils
Rear:
OME N141s
FJC coils with the 1.5" DS spacer
The install took about 8 hrs with a lift and all the tools provided by the Auto Hobby shop here at NAS Jax. It was pretty straight forward when it came to removing the XREAS it was just a little tricky to getting to rear disconnect points.
I learned alot about the suspension system during this whole event and loved getting in there and doing it myself. I apologize for not getting any before and after measurements, but i will include before and after pics.
The ride quality is awesome, definitely a huge improvement over my 137,xxx mile old XREAS shocks.
