Finally found a V8

Hello everyone, I've always appreciated the info on this forum and want to finally contribute. After driving a 2008 v6 for a while I grew to love the 4th gen platform and spent a couple months looking for a 06-09 v8 sport in shadow mica. A couple weeks ago I finally found one locally with a clean frame and service history and pulled the trigger. It already has a decent lift and wheel/tire package, and I'm looking to add some overlanding gear next. First steps will probably be onboard air, an awning and some sort of solar/aux battery setup.

Hey! Sorry to revive an "old thread", how's the gas mileage with steelies? I'm averaging about 17.2 MPG with my stock 06 V8.

In the process of looking for a V8 myself. I only tow a 4000 lb boat 3-5 times a year, but I am going to pretend I need a V8 anyway

Shadow Mica looks great on 4th gens! I wish my Galactic gray was shadow mica! Great truck!
