After few years of of casual searching mostly on Craigslist and buying and selling 2 of them (06 SR5 2WD V6 and 06 Sport 4WD V8) over the period, I have finally found and bought what I've been looking for!
I did like the first SR5 bought few years ago but it was the very base model and I wanted to see how V8 would feel like. Got the V8 Sport 4WD and loved the power, but it was very rusted underbody and I didn't think it's the one to keep. After going through two 4th gen T4R's, I did look at 5th gen options and also almost bought a 2011 Lexus GX460, but somehow it didn't work out. Probably, because I had my mind set for a 06-09 V8 Limited!
This past Saturday night, I found a one-owner 08 V8 Limited with 81k miles in my favorite Shadow Mica pop up on Craigslist and it was posted 2 hours ago. Called the number posted on it right away and set up an appt to see it at 8:30 next morning, gave him a deposit and drove it home last night!
This old gentleman owner bought it brand new and kept it in impeccable shape for his wife in one of his 5 garages in his southern VA mountain house. And he needed to make a garage space for his wife's new car along with 2 other Mercedes, Toyota truck and Porsche. This is what I want when I retire - house with 5 garages for all my toys! :lol:
