Finally found my 4Runner

Found it last night about 2:30am.
Was a 3 hour drive away, bought it this afternoon and drove it home.

I can not believe my luck, I got a 2002 Sport Edition 3.4L
Black paint in really good shape only a couple of minor scratches, no dents no rust.
Interior is grey and cloth and in really good shape, which is what I wanted, no tears or even much of what you could call any dirty spots. I don't like leather seats unless they are make by Rolls Royce.
Has 157xxx miles but has been VERY well maintained, had all records.
Already has external transmission cooler installed.
Ball joints were replaced by Toyota on recall about 60,000 miles ago.
Has Toyota 17" FJ Cruiser wheels, brand new Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour tires 255/75R17.
Already has the deck plate mod and rear diff breather mod.
K&N air filter

Has a decent brush guard & lights on bumper.

Nicely tinted windows all around.
Has a remote start.
Has Weather Tech Mats front rear and cargo area.
really nice stereo with remote and MP3 and Sat radio hookup.

Has a 3" OME Lift kit, 883/ 891 coils and new shocks all around.

New battery

Never even really been off roaded, just a few trips on the beach is about it.

Probably a few other odds and ends that I am not thinking of right now.

All extremely well maintained and for $7,700.00 total.

Best deal I could possibly have hoped for.

Thanks everyone for all the help.

Never even thought of saying it was 4X4 because I cant imagine a 4Runner not being 4X4.
But yes it is 4X4 and everything works perfectly.

The guy I bought it from was really nice, great guy.

Only thing I am going to do to it is to change all the fluids to 100% synthetic.
Other than that there is nothing to do but drive it.

thanks again for all the advice & info the past few days, was a big help in knowing what to look for.

cool man thats a steal! im glad to see antother brush guard like that i took my ends off and am growing to like the look

Yeah, I really like the way that looks too, and have been considering buying a brush guard just so I can take the hoops off and keep the uprights.

Thanks all, I am so jazzed I can hardly stand it.

I just had to try out the remote start so I could go out and see what it looks like at night.
I can actually start it from my bedroom upstairs, that will come in handy so I can start it when its either really cold or hot to defrost or cool it down wait a few minutes then just hop in and go.

I can also just leave it running without the keys, lock the doors and it will run and keep the AC running for when I just need to hop into a store real quick and I don't have to worry about someone stealing it.

Also the truck came with a $100.00 yearly pass sticker for Freeman Beach NC so I can take it out on the beach and camp for free until Dec 31st 2011.

Cant wait to go camping soon.

I got my Freeman Park sticker back in March. :)

Nice find. I haven't seen that one on the local Craigslist(s).

It was from the Charlotte area CL, I just checked it on whim at like 2:30am last night and my jaw dropped.
Emailed him right then and he called me at 7:30am, I waited until the bank opened grabbed a big wad of cash then headed to Charlotte as fast as I could get there.

Couldn't believe how clean it was when I got there, they all look good in pictures usually but this looks just as good in person.

I have not been to Freeman Beach, are there any secret spots or something I should know before I go?

:jaw drop: Congrats! That's a sweet rig for sure. For that price I'm amazed you got the title with it :pimp:. I'm amazed at the variety of 3rd Gens on the market you guys down south have. Around my neck of the woods, you'll find only bone stock 4Rs for $8-12k. I've never seen one lifted, let alone with all of those mods done. Ok, is my jealousy showing now??

Freeman Park is basically just a long stretch of sand that you can drive out on. They're very strict about the speed limit (15 MPH) and other rules out there. Don't expect to do any kind of wheeling.

Had no expectations of "wheeling" I have been to Pismo Beach in California many times so pretty much know what to expect in that regard as far as just tooling around on the beach.
I was just curious if there were any camp spots better than others, or any tricks specific to Freeman Beach.
Like having a camp fire and such.
