FINALLY found my 4th gen!

So I had a 3rd gen for the last 5 years and recently decided to part ways for my quest into a 4th gen. My 3rd gen was awesome, but with kids I wanted the jump seats and something with newer safety features.

I narrowed my search down to an 06+ model with V8, 4WD, no RAS, and 3rd row jump seats. Little did I know this would be next to impossible to find. After months of searching I finally found one at CarMax in immaculate shape! (only 49k miles) for what I thought was a fair price given the condition.

I could not be happier with my find, this thing doesn't have a single scratch on it and being a limited it's got all the bells and whistles (sans RAS) which I didn't want anyhow. I opted for the optional 5 year 60k mile warranty since it was only an extra grand.

My only immediate plans are a roof rack for extra cargo capacity, new tires, and possibly a mild lift by years end.

Congrats from another 3rd row owner.

I looked for a long time, couldn't find any 3rd row limited, and I settled for a 2007 SR5 model.

You lucky B@&^@%D!!!! That is exactly what I am looking for: an 06-09 V8 4x4 w/3rd row. Yes, it is nearly impossible to find. Goodness, I thought that 49k and immaculate WAS IMPOSSIBLE to find. Well, congratulations. I suppose I'll have to stay in my '05 V6 a little longer.

Super nice score! It would appear that patience certainly pays off. May I ask what you had to shell out for it? I would think it would be top dollar but hey, you never know. Either way, enjoy it!

Hope you checked for undercarriage rust, unlike me. I really need to treat it in some way. It's not terrible but the thought that it could be bugs me. I had a dream last night about the frame breaking and had to go to the shop lol. Not cool.

very jealous! I wasn't looking for 3rd row, but I wanted to get back into an 06+ again. found my 2003 Limited with 41K and I had to pull the trigger. Looks similar to yours, but I have a few dings here and there. Way lower than expected for a 11 yo truck though. (Need to get a pic of it posted here)

Enjoy your ride!!

btw, I paid $15k for mine. A bit of a gamble, but the price is lower than KBB for Ohio.

Congrats, thats a really nice find. When I was looking for mine a year ago, there was next to NOTHING available down here in So Cal. At least not one that they were asking $24k+

Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Congrats! Very very nice! I wanted a Limited for the leather (I have dogs). But settled with a Sport Edition.

Yeah, 4Runners and Tacomas in this area hold their value crazy well. I had to pay a little over $20k for this one, but that was cheaper than a similar mileage GX470 which is what I was comparing it to. It's overall condition made it easier for me to stomach. Glad I didn't settle for the Lexus as I didn't want to hassle with swapping out the air bags later on.

I just checked out your build thread, it's awesome! We have a lot in common...same name, same ride, I also used to be suby guy (06 STi). I've done that main divide trail in my old rig, cant wait to try in the 4th gen!
