finally got LC coil/Tundra lift installed

before with 3" Revtek and stock 120K mile coils it measured 37.5" front and 37" rear:

After with TRD coils and adjustable bilsteins set at 1.5" over stock it measures 39" front and 40.5" rear:

I really wish it was level but it was so hard to get the coilover back in i ended up leaving the top plate out and still barely got the coilover back in. Guess ill go back in some time and move the clip another notch. Overall it rides better but theres no way in hell id pay the $1270 that certain companies are asking for this setup. Im not really disappointed but it just didnt make that much difference except giving me a dragster look. I guess i thought id gain more up front than what i actually did. However, for the $300-400 ive got in the entire kit with new struts and coils im pretty happy :bigok:
If i were starting from scratch , 100% stock it prob. would have impressed me more i guess.

** people keep mentioning the rear coils will settle..how is a used spring going to settle :shrug:

thanks guys and for those of you with LC coils...i still dont get how a used coil spring will settle but quite a few people say theyre LC coils settle anywhere from a fraction of an inch up to a full inch? since they are pretty well "broken in" from being up front on a heavy ass cruiser, do u really think they will make themeselves at home a little lower possibly??

2000-05 TRD models im pretty sure but make 100% certain they are marked yellow/yellow and yellow/blue. Part # 48131-AF090 & 48131-AF100:welcome:

tundra coils new from toyota dealership, adjustable Tundra Bilstein struts from rockymountainsusp.com , and diff drop i reused from my old 3" Revtek kit (which is for sale btw)

4runner looks great man. I just went on the rockmountainsusp.com and I didn't see any bilstein shocks on there. How much did the coils and struts run you?

You have to go under leveling kits and then look under RCD. part # BE5-6929 for front struts. I worked out a deal here and traded a lift kit for my TRD coils. They run about $110/ea new through dealership, struts run around $120each

hey what did you run before this lift? i may get railed for this but i kinda hate my ome coils up front (882's and i have the winch bumper) and am looking for something closer to my stock set up in terms of ride comfort. which was the tall '99 coils and billies upfront.

I know my LC coils settled about an inch. However they were new and not used. I think the main thing is that if they have been out of a vehicle a while the start to regain their original length (decompress) and then once they are on the vehicle for a while they start to compress to a normal ride height. Sort of the logic behind those inversion boots and tables that you hang upside down from to allow your back to stretch out and decompress feels good but a day or two later you are back to having compressed spine again. Not real sure if that makes sense at all.

Also adding some sliders and heavier back bumper will help also
