Finally got my painted rims on today...

They came out nice IMO, but now just want to get the chrome bumpers black and take off the running boards next, What do you guys think?

I kept my chrome lugs since I'd have to repaint them everytime I took my wheels off. It's the only chrome left on my truck besides the antenna

Looks good! I kinda think that I would remove the running boards and color match your bumpers. I think having just the flares and wheels black would be the perfect amount of contrast.

thanks for the reply's...I never really thought about color matching my bumpers, that would be cool to, either way i want the chrome gone...hope to get on that in a couple of months

Call me crazy, but I kind of like the chrome her and there. It breaks it up a little and is not mainstream. Black rims, black headlights, black bumpers, black....black....black is gettin a little over the top nowadays.

yeah, i might just take off the running boards and that would take some chrome out but leave the bumpers the same, i really just want like an ARB bumper but don't have the cash for that, but thanks for the opinion!

yeah same here..i used rustoleum self etching primer and rustoleum flat black paint...3 coats of both after a few hours of sanding and other prep work, but it was worth it.

nice man. I agree though, dump the boards. I was so glad when I removed mine. Looks so much better and it looks like you did a lift w/o doing a lift! looks tougher w/o the boards. keep up the good work man!

X2. Either color match those suckers or paint it black. Plasti-Dip them if you have to for convenience, anything but chrome on bumpers! I like the chrome lugs because my wheels & lugs are spray painted black (same style wheel too) and the chrome lug nuts IMO breaks that up a bit.
