Hello! After having lusted over 4runners for awhile, I was lucky enough to come across one through my network of friends. I am the 3rd owner, 2nd owner (friend of a friend) owned it since 2001, and it was well loved. Part of the POs hesitancy in selling was an emotional attachment to the truck and wants it going to someone who would get some good use out it and take care of it. Plus it needs a bit of reconditioning (head gasket is likely on the way out) it has all the telltale signs, minor coolant loss and white smoke from the exhaust on startup. Luckily I am mechanically handy and can replace the headgasket and get the head decked if needed.
Other than the headgasket and some cosmetic issues the truck is in pretty good shape for 250k miles and years of road trips, driving lessons, and trips to the mountains and I am very lucky to be part of the 4runner community.

I haven’t planned any mods yet, but I do want to fix some of the cosmetic issues, refinish/replace the center console lid, I have two metal keys with no fobs so I would like to try to get at least one keyfob. Other than the headgasket the truck is in great shape mechanically, no obvious oil leaks, no rust, 2018 dated radiator so low risk of pink milkshake. I’m really excited to drive the wheels off this thing!
