Finally installed my clear corners/bumpers

Well I finally got around to buying clear corners and bumpers. Got them in the mail today and just installed them on my runner. You guys all know what they look like but here are some pictures just in case ;):

Got them on eBay. But avoid neondials, he has a ton of listings for corners/bumpers but other people on here have ordered them and said they didn't fit properly.

Bumpers were $22 and corners were $50.

i was actually about to buy the combo set from neondials

who did you buy from? and is that a chrome bulb inside them or just a clear?

Yeah the $50 was a little much I thought but I wasn't having luck finding any corners for cheaper and I was impatient so I just bought what I could find. You can find them for like $25 if you wait around until a listing shows up on eBay.

ChildrenOfBodom- The bulbs in both the corners and bumpers are stock.

I bought the bumpers from "dotcomracing" on eBay. Here's the listing for mine:

I couldn't find a new listing from the same store.

These are the corners I got. Like I said before, you can probably find them for cheaper if you just wait around and check for new listings every week or so. But make sure to avoid neondials, as other people have had bad experiences with that seller.

I was waiting for you to show up :bigok: In the first thread I started on here at T4R to introduce myself and my runner, one of the first responses I got was you telling me to get clear corners/bumpers.:D
 
looks good. i hope you dont have the same thing happen to you as me which is the bumper lenses leaking with muddy water i bought cheap ones i guess. idk.
 
As I recall, bootown got his clear corners from neondials.

maybe he could chime in and tell us his feedback?

i would much rather pay 60 bucks for corners and bumpers/free shipping than the rest if they work well

Yeah definitely, can't beat that price. But I know MattStarr had a bad experience with them and one other member had a similar problem I think, it might have actually been bootown.

They do look absolutely great on your 4Runner though, I might just bite the bullet and pay the extra 20 bucks so I at least know it's good.

Do you have any complaints with them? Do they fit right and all?

I am hoping that the seller reposts that clear bumper lense auction...

The corners weren't a perfect fit but it didn't really matter. The part that you screw in didn't line up perfectly on the driver's side corner so I just didn't screw it in and it's still pretty firmly attached. When I have access to a drill I'll just drill a new hole for the screw. I was able to screw the other corner in but it just barely lined up with the hole. Not really a big deal though I don't think.
 
I guess yours may have cost more since they were different than mine for my 1996, I paid 10-12 for each corners and bumpers, but shipping was like 15 so it was around 25 total.

Yours look great though. Its amazing what a difference they make.
