Finally installed

Busy day today. Several interior panels replaced due to cracks, new mud guards, bumper molding and a few other things. AEM intake installed, ROARS, boosted HP by what feels like 20-40hp, no more sluggish acceleration. New train horn installed too. Crazy loud. You people on this forum are a bad influence, giving me too many ideas of what to do next on my truck. One question I do have, if I have monroe sensatracs on the truck, and go to a larger spring, will the shocks/struts handle the new spring or will they too have to be replaced? They are only a couple thousand miles old.

What horn did you end up getting, you said ALPEX usa but what model?

the model is the TC2C. The tech mounted it on the side of the new intake housing. if i can figure out how to post pics to the site i will put one up.

One question I do have, if I have monroe sensatracs on the truck, and go to a larger spring, will the shocks/struts handle the new spring or will they too have to be replaced? They are only a couple thousand miles old.

The shocks can most likely handle anywhere up to about 2.5/3", but it can cause an unsafe situation, as the shocks are closer to their full extension, if you hit a bump big enough the shock itself can bottom out leaving the wheel to hang, instead of pushing down to the road.
I've had 2.5" spacers on my truck with the factory shocks, and this never occurred, but I'm just letting you know the dangers of this sort of situation. Don't put yourself in harm's way for a lift kit, get longer shocks when you can.

Elton, I asked the tech to do just that but he stated there was not enough room. My guess is because the mounting bracket for the horn is so big that he needed something larger to screw it into. either way he found space so it all worked out.
