Well! After 3 months of waiting for All Pro to get a new shipment of front 4 inch lift leafs, they're finally here! :reddance: From the time i ordered them, i ordered the entire rear 5 inch kit, installed it, broke the rears in, AND rolled my truck! Woo! Figured since i have the body off, it'll be a lot easier welding the front hanger and shock hoops on.

Heres some pics! Gonna be updating this thread regularly until im done.

Already cut off the stock shock mounts. Just need to finish cutting them more and grinding everything down flush with the frame.

I also still need to cut off the old leaf mounts and weld the hanger on.

More to come. Gonna go buy some cutting wheels tomorrow and cut the torque rod mounts off the frame, and axle, finish getting rid of the shock mounts, and cut the old leaf mounts off. Stay tuned! :whoo: :hello:

Well fellas. I got a lot more done in these past 2 days. Got a hold of a plasma cutter and cut the rest of my shock mounts off, cut the leaf mounts off, and cut all the mounts that weren't needed anymore, off of the axle. I now have the axle all mounted up to the leafs and the leafs mounted to my frame. Heres some pics! Its been a fun, messy couple days.

Why are you not doing hi steer? That is just as good an upgrade as the suspension IMO.
Sadly i dont have the money to spend on Hy Steer. I lost my job, so moneys tight! And this 4runner is my DD haha. As soon as i get the new body back on, i can start working again then upgrade to hy steer.

Ahh ok that is a good reason. Sorry about the job. Keep an eye out for a used hi steer setup to save some $$$. I got an IFS box for about $84 shipped on eBay IIRC.

Looking good! Thanks for choosing our leafs. Let us know when you're ready for the Hy-Steer kit and good luck in the job search... that is always tough.

And this 4runner is my DD haha..

Whoa whoa whoa, hit the brakes. You said you were cutting out the dogbone? And this is a daily driver? You're asking for disaster. The brake steer you're going to get with push-pull steering and no dogbone is terrible. Trust me, I've been there. And wheeling with that setup, your J arm might not last very long anyway. Lifting and then flexing puts nasty stresses on the J arm and they're known to break.

For safety and reliabilities sake, I really think you should invest in crossover steering before you take that truck back on the road.
