I picked it up last night and it's awesome! I felt so special pulling up in my driveway. It started to rain as soon as I got it home, but I was able to take a few quick pictures:

The LSU sticker on the last pic is a decal. I had just put it on and didn't peel off the other part....


If the weather is good I'll take some pictures of the interior when I get home. The leather is nice! It has tags on the seats for "Liquacell" or something like that. Is this factory leather or aftermarket? I was told it was factory by the dealer but I guess you never know.

Everything with my 4Runner is great so far besides one small problem. On the driver's side rear wheel, top molding part, there is a gold colored mark about an inch long that won't come off. The dealer tried buffing it out to no avail. When we got home we tried to put some paint cleaner on it but it still wouldn't come out. The dealer said I can bring it in and they'll sand it and paint it. OOOOhhh no! This thing is brand new, I don't want them to paint on it already!

I think I'm gonna wait after a few washes/waxes to see if it's still there. It looks like it may actually be gold paint underneath the clear coat....

Congrats on the new ride! I always did like the white on the 4Runner.

On your question on the leather, the leather is port installed and does not come that way from the factory. Only the Limited models get the factory installed leather.

Well if the dealership will fix it for your for free, why not let them? Up to you though

thanks for the reply. I did a google search a few minutes ago, and after finally spelling it correctly, I realized the leather was a port installed option.

I made an appt for Saturday to get the front windows tinted and the strip across the windshield. I'm also ordering a bug shield some time today. I'm trying to decide if I should get the cheaper Lund shield on eBay or the Toyota one... tough decision...

Have you seen the Toyota Canada bug shield? I think it fits the 4Runner much better than the US version as well as any other aftermarket one I've seen.

I've got the Canadian Vent Visors and again, they are much nicer (IMO) than the US ones.

Why Canada gets the better ones, I'm not sure:

Yeah, i ran across that at Burtman industries I think. While I like the idea that it covers more than the US version, I'm not quite sure if I like it's looks if that makes any sense. Maybe if I saw a better quality picture of it... I'll do a search for that now.... thanks!

So I went ahead and bought the Toyota bug shield (US) on eBay for $79.99 shipped. That's the best price I've come across and I didn't want to waste too much time, need it here asap before my paint starts chipping, etc.

Nice choice of color. The real JDM black tail lights look killer on the white. The knockoffs are a lot cheaper, but they have a matte black plastic instead of a glossy black. Add some chrome plated amber turn signal bulbs, and it knocks the socks off the stock lights.

Believe me, you will feel special driving your 4Runner even when it is 2 years old! You will get more obsessed with it as time goes on.

That would be interesting! At a 4Runner meet I attended, one of the members painted their bug shield (US version) to match the rest of their truck and I really liked the way it looked.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the leather interior. As others have mentioned, factory leather is only available on the Limited, so it's interesting seeing all the different port or dealer installed variations on the SR5 and Sport models.

As requested, here are some pics of the leather. The pics are really bad, so I'll try to take better ones soon.

The bug shield should be here tomorrow, then windows are getting tinted Saturday. I'll probably wash her up on Sunday and take pics (i'm a pic whore).

Bug shield and tints...

I like the look of the US Toyota bugshield so I'm really happy I chose it. Here are a few pictures:

I also got the front windows tinted and the strip on the windshield tinted today:

The legal limit in Louisiana is 50 for the front windows. I wish I could have legally gone darker, but I am still satisfied with the 50. It definitely blocks some of that 95+ Louisiana sun!

While I was at it, I took a few more pictures of the leather interior:

I stopped by the local auto store and picked up some NXT Tech Wax and NXT detailer spray. Once my month of unlimited free car washes run out, I may test this stuff out

The interior looks very nice. It looks like nice quality leather they put in. They should offer black leather as a factory option! I just have one question, what is that button on your front passenger seat for? You can see part of it in picture #6 in your latest post.

Thx for the compliments! As far as that button, I have no clue what it does! My friend was riding in the passenger seat the other day and she pressed it and it didn't do anything. I'll have to pull out my manual or something because it's gonna bug me if I don't figure it out...

Is it a power lumbar support button, like the one on the driver's side?

I remember seeing a "power lumbar support" option in certain regions and wondered how it could be an option since all three trim levels come standard with a power-adjustable lumbar support on the driver's side. I didn't even think about it being an option on the passenger's side.
