Finally my truck is Show-Worthy. Many Pics!

like the chrome Halos too...but I like the black ones better... I am gonna put some black shoes as soon as I can...that's why I chose tha black halos.
At first I was considering the chrome rims...but after looking and looking I just fell in love with the Black ones.

Your 4runner definately is going to turn heads as you roll the streets...no doubt about it..beacuse it is different than 90% of the 4runners you see out there. For example since I got mine... I see a lot of all gen's and just 1 besides mine with some mods(rims) and I had to look at it for a few minutes..all the rest are just simple the same story over and over.(nothing wrong with that tho') but some people like us... like to be unique.

And I agree with Fo_Sheezy...I would love to go offroading...but to be honest...everytime I think about it ....a 2nd or 3rd generation comes to my mind even a 1st so you can just go killl it and dont worry too much about dents and scratches etc etc. Not that they are not beautys they are ... but I believe they are also stronger than the 4th gen.
Matter of fact I have consider buying one later.

Enjoy your T4R it does look good.. at the end...as lon as you like what you doingt to it ..tahts all it matters

It looks very clean and its a nice 4runner you got there.

I don't know about Show worthy.... maybe at the local autoshow it is.
But lets be honest all you really did was slap on some big rims and throw a box in the back.
I would at least take the time to hardwire the radar detector.

are not cool. Bling bling should be kept off of a 4Runner..save it for an Escalade. And spinners? Come on now. Those were cool for about 3 months among the gangsta crowd.

the diff in price for a 4runner and an escalade is great, plus the better mpg on a 4runner and reliability which would be good determining factors to choose the 4runner

i wouldnt go the route of the rims but they dont look terrible. like others have said the tint, the nav and id also add a rear spoiler. i think the runners look naked w/o a spoiler.

id re-do the horn wiring. put some flex loom over it clean it up a bit. same w. the amp wiring.

youve got a very clean car good job on keeping up on it.

I don't know about you, but zip ties hold about half my truck together and electrical tape holds a good 25% of the rest.

i don't want to judge how you decked out your truck...because it's yours, not mine.

but, if you plan to show this 4Runner, i think you need to do more than just get bolt on goodies if you want to win anything. new wheels/tires are a start...but anyone can do that. aftermarket stereo, same there too. the suggestions about shaving emblems, match chrome with body color, etc are starting to get to the real mods.

not every car has to have all the bad ass stuff done. but i think you'll be disappointed with your show placing if you show up with the truck looking like it does now. i grew up in indianapolis...home of the hot rod. guys there would always have projects to mod their rides. most involved welding or fabricating something from scratch to make theirs unlike anything else. some had good taste. others...well, not so much. but they were trying to be original. keep that in mind if you're looking to win a show/contest.

Honestly, I gotta say I just dont like it.

I really think you should have bought a Lexus RX330 instead. you can still put 22's on it, big sterio, v6, awd, leather, and it rides like a toyota camry, because obviously your truck is not leaving the paved roads.

but hey its your rig and youve obviously spent lots of time and money on it. I just think a 4runner is a OFF ROAD rig; and to bling bling it out is kindof blasphemy.

Lol, thanks Kenny, I appreciate the funny criticism, but i meant by show worthy, as in good enough for the forum worthy. I had to wait till I had a less than stock look before i showed off the rig. All of yall have given me much inspiration to modding up this wonderful truck. I just wish i had a good trick to not having to get now 15.8 MPG in the city and 330 miles to the tank.

I like it. I'm not into bling or subs or HID or dubs or anything you did, but it looks like a sweet 4R with cool rims. Nothing distasteful at all on the outside or inside. I agree with most of the criticisms, but I'd roll in that over a stock 4R any day. I suspect a good driver could run that truck through Rubicon as is, which is pretty cool.

Get yourself a crimping tool and a box of crimp connectors. Wire nuts are likely to come loose, and they just look bad. Get some proper automotive wire, and try to tuck the wire in where it's not so visible.
