I'm so excited right now because I finally made my decision to order the lift for my 01'! After much debate, I decided to go all the way and order the Sonoran Steel 1.2 system! Steve is a great guy to deal with! He was able to answer all of my questions and I feel that his kit is a really good value for everything that is included in it. I hope to have it installed by Memorial Day weekend. I can hardly wait!!!!:guitar3:

How are you liking your SS1.2 so far? Did you get an alignment yet?

Yep. Got it aligned which helped. It's weird. It's higher, but the body roll feels less for general cornering. I went around a sharp corner yesterday and it felt a bit scary. I like the lift. I like sitting up higher and I like being different than stock. I'm hoping to try it out on some minor trails this week.

To be completely honest, I really didn't need it. It was something that I wanted to do and I'm glad I did. But lately I've been thinking a lot about being content with what I have and my stocker was just fine. It can be really frustrating being stuck in college when I want to be out throwing mud all over the place in my 4runner (of course, respecting the environment and treading lightly). For me, this is a first step to something that is going to take years to complete. I can't drop a whole bunch on tires, wheels, lift, lights, etc all at once. Being that my stock suspension was getting worn, the lift was a logical first step for me. I'm enjoying the new set up but I do have a ways to go before my build is complete.

Installing the lift was a lot of fun. It's sort of like when I got my muffler - every time I get in my truck, I enjoy it a little bit more. This is a little immature, but I went to dairy queen the other night and parked right next to a stock 4th gen. It seemed like I was towering over his rig (I caught him checking it out). I don't know. It was just kind of cool to see the difference and I'm happy with my purchase. I'm sure you will be too. :D
