I just got a set too. They look great!

I installed the one in the cargo area over the stock mat and that seems to make the interior a little quieter as well.

The lip does run in front of the heater vent under the front passenger seat, it's not a complete block but does hinder the air flow, I just push the lip under the vent, eventually I might cut it but for now it works and doesn't put to much pressure on the vent. Yes, if you have a major spill of something like a soda there is a chance it will not be contained in the weathertech mat but really I'm not worried bout that, it handles regular foot traffic, mud, wet shoes and such just fine. Plus my rear passenger doesn't get much use its more for the dog then anything.

Love em - got the tan front, back, and cargo liner. Worth every penny and the hour of waiting in line @ the WeatherTech store outside of Chicago. The black looks great on yours.
