Hey Everyone, thanks for all the great comments, I've had a chance to take it off roading a couple times know and it handles better than I could have imagined. The OME shocks are very smooth, not to stiff, not to soft, just right. With the added lift I can now get through some terrain that I would have never even thought of attempting with my stock 4runner.
Yes, my runner had XREAS, didn't realize it until I went to do the install. Anyways I didn't completely remove the system, just the shocks. I capped off all the tubing and left all the main components in place. If you're interested I can take some photos.
Yes, removing the XREAS voided only the suspension portion of my Toyota Warranty. Which will occur if you alter/modify any piece of your suspension components, be it adding spacers or removing the shocks entirely.
Actually didn't do the intall in the bay area. My dad has a home workshop down in the San Diego area. He used to be an Engineer for Audi. I went down for the weekend and we did the install together. Just a little Father/Son bonding. Between the two of us the install took about 4 hours.

I'm still in the market for a vehicle and trying to decide on what I want to go with. Seeing setups likes yours makes me want to lean towards the 4R.

At some point I realized that spacers is good for look, for serious off-road I should think of something else. OME was the answer. Based on my experience, I'd say that spacers are not changing the ride too much, just a little more side roll because of higher gravity. The ride on the back is becoming stiffer (too firm from my point of view). Front is firmer, but fine. You'll loose downtravel on amount of spacers. Some guys have experience spring sagging after some time with spacers (my front coils sag ~1" after 8 months with spacers). OME gives you great ride off-the road. It all depends on what setup you decide to go. As firmer the springs will be as firmer you ride will be. I gone with 885/895 after Cornfed and I mentioned that with OME my ride is become softer then stock coils + spacers, but spacers made my truck stiffer, so compare to original coils OME is firmer too.
I'd say that if you need it for on-road driving and looks go with spacers, off-roading - way to go is OME.

Makes me want to gett rid of my Xreas and get that lift . For some reason that lift/stance looks about the best I've seen here as far as proportion goes. The 265/70/17s look proportionate as well on there. Maybe because of the 8" rims and backspacing ?
