Definitely not one of the easiest tasks out there, but feasible for the determined. I buttoned things up, fresh toyota long-life coolant, new rad cap, and lubed the sway bar bushings(urethane). Its like a different machine after resealing the intake and injection system. The truck has more power(quicker off lights, pulls better up hills, etc), idles smoother, and seems to shift through the auto trans smoother. It won't make your truck a rocket but for those out there with original seals, you might consider replacing them, asap. In the fall, I'll tackle the water pump and timing belt.
The worst part of the task is dealing with all the old connections. For those out there planning this job, some might be able to get away with reusing the holders. The ones on our truck were pretty brittle though. I'm looking foward to checking the mpg to see if there is any improvement.

Maybe next year, I'll deal with some of the cosmetic issues on the truck. It could use a new left rear bumper corner since it got dented in a parking lot. New factory mud flaps could not hurt either and the front grill is looking tired. It's endless. :hello:

I broke a couple of clips on the injector electrical plugs doing my head gaskets. Had to wire them on with some baling wire. There was one odd newer plug. Looks like I'm not the first to break one.

Yes, Wilson's had a discount on them a couple month back. So far, the battery is one of the better(or best) ones we've had. It holds a very high charge level. I use battery tender jr's on the vehicles when not in use and it barely needs to charge with that battery. Well worth the $ over a Costco unit(or the like).

Nope, don't have any issues with the injector clips at all. The plastic shells/holders around the injector harness were cracked at the clip location where they attach to the valve covers though. They were exceedingly brittle, probably from prolonged heat exposure, age, and poor quality plastics. The injector clips came apart with no issues using a pair of snap-on long needle nose pliers and a pick.
