Fire Extinguisher Mounts/Mounting

i hope this isn't taken the wrong way, but if your engine compartment happens to catch a fire (which i think is why most of us carry an extinguisher) that little thing isnt gonna do squat if it really gets going.

I was going to get this one but it doesn't give me much room left for groceries back there:

I wouldn't use it for large engine fire. Even small it may give some one in another burning vehicle just enough time to get out. Paul Walker was still alive when that wreckage was burning... No fire extinguisher would save him but there are other situations.

Has anyone tried to mount a Rago fire extinguisher mount to a Orange Boxx MOLLE Panel. I’m struggling to make it work. Seems like the holes in the panels must have a different configuration? Thanks, I’ve already learned a lot from this forum!!

So...what extinguishers is everyone going with?

i'm running 2 cheap ass one from Homedepot designed for kitchen grease fires. I've had the privilege of putting out my own kitchen grease fire with one of them, so i figure they will work if I accidentally set the desert on fire with either my vehicle or my bullets. I'm not so sure they will put out a vehicle fire though.

I've got a Purple K extinguisher + mount that I acquired when in the Army, standard issue for the HMMWV's. We had an extra so....

I mounted it the same way in my old Jeep - Drilled holes and backed with double stacked wide washers. Whenever I get window storage panels this will sit right underneath it in otherwise dead space. The handle of the extinguisher itself rattles so I just put a piece of tape on it to hold tension.

I used a Bracketeer and mounted a extinguisher under my seat. Been solidly mounted for about 10,000 miles. Some of which was over harsh off-road terrain. Hasn’t budged.

Ever get the trim back in the seat rails?

Rago Fab QR bracket and a Wits’ End seat mount with a 3 lb. First Alert ABC. Ended up drilling my own mounting holes in the Wits’ End to get everything lined up nicely. Took a little time and carefully notched the rail cap to make it look extra clean
